Start writing before you're ready..

This entire blog is focused on being a resource hub for capital allocators.

Thats the prime focus.

But as a secondary focus this is a public notebook, where I document what I am learning about key areas of life, in this case, writing.

Something I learned recently, is that it's critical to write down what your going to write before you start writing.

This is so that you don't deviate away from the main focus of what the intended writing is about.

All writing is just re-writing, and your first draft will be rubbish. But it's critical you start.

But here's the key that I learned. Follow this framework and you will have a much easier and faster time writing.

  1. The purpose of what I am going to write about is ________
  2. The client for who this copy is _______
  3. The problem this copy is going to solve for them is _________
  4. The product/service I am going to write about is _________

This is more of a note for myself so I know how to assemble great copy and writing..

Remembering that all great writing is assembled, its not written.

So says the greatest writer of all time, Eugene Schwartz...
