Howdy,
Thanks for checking out this resource.
My name's Benjamin. I live in Brighton, Vic, with my wife Nassim (thats us above in Safety Beach on a holiday).
I am a passionate investor seeking compelling investment opportunities and offering expertise and dedication in exchange for buy-in or equity partnerships.
I've learned a wealth of knowledge from my father and intend to serve capital allocators and asset managers with valuable resources about opportunities in the Australian and wider global capital markets.
This is my public notebook,
Where I share my thoughts on investing, business and great writing.
It’s also a way for me to learn in public
I've always loved the inventive nature of entrepreneurs.
Australia has a history of deeply innovative products.
The WIFI protocols (yep that’s right), the famous black box recorder and even Google maps was invented in Australia.
I partner with innovative companies that have great stories, where I can bring a great deal of value to help them perform better in key areas.
Define better.
I believe, businesses are in a state of stagnation, underperforming due to the powerful force of inertia, unable to see new possibilities for growth.
- Growth through acquisitions.
- Increase brand equity
- Increase sales channels through innovative
- Expansion into new markets through strategic alliances and joint ventures
- Measuring, testing and optimising core processes in the business.
What gets me excited are businesses with genuine stories—ideas that solve real problems, built by people who care deeply about the outcome.
If that's you, we might be a good fit.
Here's how I typically help:
- Providing capital when the opportunity and risk alignment feel right
- Facilitating strategic introductions and partnerships that open meaningful doors
- Contributing hands-on sweat equity in areas like operations, capital planning, and growth strategy
- Exploring acquisitions or roll-ups where it creates win-win value for everyone involved
My engineering background gives me a structured way to evaluate risk, measure true value, and allocate capital efficiently—but I never lose sight of the human element:
The founder, the vision, and the momentum behind the numbers.
Presently I see the biggest opportunity with optimising small-mid sized businesses with AI and helping them move away from legacy systems.
Early beginnings
Since I was a very young lad, I have always been deeply fascinated with capital markets.
During those days, I used to basically lived in the campus library.
I recall one night I found the infamous book by Peter Lynch, “One up on Wall St”. The very simple non- theoretical way he analysed companies greatly appealed to me.
I was hooked.
We live in Australia, the land of commodities, and nothing has more explosive growth that mining stocks.
At the time, this was during the bull markets of the tech metals, in particular, Lithium.
I was calling the companies head offices, going onto the ASX websites, reading the shareholder letters.
Digging into the financial reports.
I bought a decent stake in Galaxy Mineral, within a few weeks it almost doubled.
Shareholder meeting came up.
I had questions. I was very young but felt compelled to voice my concerns as a shareholder to the CEO.
When it came time for questioning, out of all the media and other shareholders, they chose me.
This was a live, worldwide conference and Galaxy was the hottest stock on the ASX at the time.
I was live, and speaking directory to the CEO and board from my bedroom...wild.
Being able to research a company buy a stake in and speak to senior management and shareholders so easily was revolutionary for me at the time.
I was in my early 20's and being able to make suggestions of my analysis of other mines in nearby Chile as a young engineer was unforgettable.
I recall telling my family that night over dinner and it was really liberating to learn about the capital markets in such a hands-on approach.
It was from there I decided to make investing my core focus..
I am in the fortunate position of being able to work closely with my father and allocate capital into ideas and companies we care about is exciting.
I get to utilise all my talents and skills I have honed over the years as an engineer.
My background outside of investing is computing engineering, and I’ve always loved technology.
We work together on finding undervalued companies where I feel I can contribute to the bottom line in an explosive way.
I produce geometric growth through hidden assets, overlooked opportunities or undervalued relationships that are EASILY capable of putting a MONSTER financial windfall
